1. Individuals wishing
to participate in the Congress should submit their proposed
contributions in the context of one of the five themes of the
Congress (listed below). Contributions will be considered in
two formats: oral presentations and poster presentations.
2. The oral presentations will be presented in the specific
sessions and will consist of a 15-minute speech followed by
discussion.
3. Posters will have a 100 x 150 cm format and will be displayed
in a designated poster room. The Congress organizers have planned
a special session for presentation of the posters to supplement
the presentation that would normally take place during breaks.
4. Whatever the desired contribution format, the author-candidate
must fill in this form and return it with an abstract proposal
to the Chair of the Congress Program Committee. Please follow
the instructions found on the back of this form.
5. Acceptance and scheduling of the proposed contributions are
subject to the discretion of the Congress Program Committee.
6. Copyright permission
I grant the Congress organizers the right to:
• Reproduce, distribute and sell my conference paper(s)
as part of the Proceedings in both print and electronic formats
• Distribute the Abstract and Paper(s) to the Congress
participants
• Sell the book of Proceedings
I understand the following:
• This agreement in no way affects any copyright or other
right that I or any other party have in the Congress paper(s)
• I will not receive any compensation, including royalties,
for agreeing to include my paper(s) in the Proceedings of the
Congress
• I may use this Congress paper, presentation, visual
aids and any other material prepared by me in any manner I desire,
including publication
• Papers and illustrations will not be returned
I have read this agreement in its entirety and agree to abide
by these conditions.

Abstract Submission Instructions
1. A hard copy of the abstract must be sent with an electronic
version created in a standard word-processing program, preferably
MS Word. You may email your abstract to cindy.slater@usoc.org.
2. Abstracts must be sent in English and should not exceed 300
words.
3. The following format specifications must be used: Times New
Roman font, size 12, maximum 50 lines per page and 65 characters
per line
4. The following text margins are recommended: left 3 cm, right
2 cm, top 4 cm, bottom 3 cm.
5. Please write the title at the top of the abstract using capital
letters. Follow the title with the name of the author and co-authors
and the abstract itself.
6. Do not underline or use abbreviations.
7. For poster proposals, figures and illustrations may be attached
to the Call for Papers form.
8. All proposals must be accompanied by a completed Call for
Papers form.
Each author/co-author has reviewed the abstract submitted to
the Chair of the Congress Program Committee and agrees with
its content.
